Friday = Sinful!

Before i start blogging about my weekends, here's something super old school!

The old school gameboy! (: WEEE. ima big fan of mario land! looking at this gameboy jus brings back alot of silly memories where i would be seated at my aunt's place playing mario land (from eating mushrooms to grow big to getting the shooting star so that i have a short spur of touch-the-enemy-they-die-immediately) so now i jus have to wait for or find for the cartridge...
P/S: if anyone that reads my blog knows anyone who has the cartridge or has ways of getting one, puhlease please please inform me!!

So friday saw me shopping at city plaza with JTL. i bought 3 kimono-ish dresses at $14 each. cheap or what? i love good deals and awesome steals. the next time im going to city plaza - it has to be with a female (like vic, shaz, cindy and elaine!) so that we can get wholesaler prices if one doesnt get at least 3 dresses, buying just one dress would cost $35? it just doesnt make sense to get one, right? the only reason why one would disagree would be because... you failed maths! haha! :D

But anyway.. we had Astons for dinner after all that shopping!!!!! ((: **beams** i realised that though i always spoke about the good food Astons have, i have never really tried it before? haha, the irony of it all. but nevermind, i can finally say that Astons DO HAVE GOOD FOOD!! (this is the carnivore in me speaking)

Astons
Whats Astons till you try their beef? :P I ordered a Sirloin prime cut while JTL went for Tenderloin.

Check out my Sirloin steak! :P i choose french fries and veggies for my side dishes.

Check out the Tenderloin steak! he choose pasta salad and veggies for his side dishes.

One thing i like about dining with someone that eats beef (and also likes its medium!) is that we can go for a variety of different cuts! (: i hate to admit this but my taste buds fancied the Tenderloin! :P JTL couldnt agree more that the Tenderloin was da bomb! yummy!

Dinner was reasonably priced - under $50! and the service was pretty alright. thankfully we were there earlier than normal dining hours! i noticed a long wait outside when we left. oh yes, apparently, Astons also has one at The Cathay but im pretty sure the original location always has the best standards (: so go try Astons if you havent!

Before dinner, i spied with my little eye a cafe when we were parking rex and it sure seemed like they had everything good to offer. for a foodie like me, dinner jus aint enough. i was already eyeing that place for desserts! true enough... it had fantastic dessert!!

Obolo
Its like a little haven! very cosy, but it could be even cosier if it had couches and bean bags lying around (:

The shop space is a little small but thats what makes it feel like a little haven! would love to bring my girls here to chill and jus enjoy each other's company.

Look at all the cakes they have to offer! if only i could have a bit of it all.. i had some trouble deciding on what to get though... butttt!!.....

I always think the best way to judge if the place really serves good cheesecake is by having the most original of cheesecakes.

We had a New York Cheesecake and 2 macaroons! (one was Mango and the other Rocher)

Hehe, me and my desserts!

The New York Cheesecake was awesome. it had fresh (and sweet!) strawberries on top of it, which balances the cheesecake taste (doesnt make it too ger-lat!) and the base wasnt too biscuity but it had a texture which contrast with the cheesecake! i really enjoyed the cheesecake :p

Look at the array of macaroons! The Rocher macaroon was.... gosh, it beats canele's one hands down. it was made of dark chocolate (elaine would LOVE it!) the Mango macaroon was nice too, a little on the fruity side - of cuz! its mango! but it was a good balance after having cheesecake and chocolate.

I bought back a box of Rocher and Hazel Nut macaroons along with a slice of Oreo Cheesecake. haha, one must always share good dessert (esp with family!!) do check Obolo out if you have time, its at......

Your company was great, JTL!! thanks! (: friday night ended with catching the Mummy 3. the movie was great too!

I think friday was sinful. im sold - the east side has got the best food! i really enjoyed myself to the maximum!
